to blog or not to blog

…that is the question. And I suppose that the answer is, To Blog.

So why do it? Am I doing it for the love of it, curiosity, to show the human side of theadminassistant or just looking to enhance Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)? Hopefully it is for less contrived reasons than SEO, and more in-depth reasons than a Social Media experiment.

Before stepping out into the big, bad world of blogging, there are a few questions I need to ask myself… If there are already plenty of Virtual Assistant blogs out there, why am I starting another one? What makes this one different? And how the heck am I going to find enough to write about?!

Sure, there are loads of blogs out there on how to blog, but who needs those? I’m placing all my bets on my personal, non-clinical approach to providing you with VA-related information. And as for finding enough content, who knows? But if I get stuck, I’ll ask you… If this blog can manage all of that while gaining a few readers, then go me! With a little bit of encouragement, I think I have the gumption to put myself out there and see what happens.

I’m guessing that there are more than a few aspiring VA’s out in cyberspace, curious to know just how it went for someone else on the starting blocks. Or perhaps you are a fellow freelancer, budding blogger or potential client. So here goes. And if nothing else, I hope that this blog will be at the very least an interesting and informative little read. I’m just taking the best approach I know how, and that is to be myself.

Starting a blog is scary. Scary because of who might be listening, and scary because maybe no one is listening at all. But if you are, speak up.
